A project to empower young people with education and tools to have a healthy, safe and conscious relationship with social media.
The design of social media apps capitalise on our most innate human vulnerabilities.
Our need to be liked, feel connected, and desire to chase feel-good brain chemicals.
And the apps are only getting better at this, which creates a breeding ground for unhealthy use, unconscious use, and subsequent mental health impacts.

Young people are especially susceptible to this.
To disrupt this, the Like Me Project aims to equip young people with the knowledge and tools to use social media with consciousness, safety, and agency. We present evidence-based, engaging, thought-provoking workshops and talks to help young people navigate the murky and complicated waters of social media and technology use.
While acknowledging that social media is here to stay (and that it also brings benefits!), here at the Like Me Project we believe that forewarned is forearmed, and that more education and awareness is needed to help us use social media in ways that nourish us individually and in our digital world.
